I am Bombay.....

I remember...Some what around two years ago, serial bomb blasts on the suburban trains in Bombay ripped apart the lives of several innocent and unsuspecting people and devastated the livelihoods of several thousand others. Western Railway then declared that it is not going to bow down to the whims and fancies of the terrorists: "We will have WR up and running normally by the peak hours tomorrow. No matter what.". And they did it - at around 1:15AM on 12/07/2006 the services were resumed.
Even today, those perpetrators have again miserably failed…I continued to live…I continued to thrive…back in all my fervor.
Once again today when I got up, checked on all breaking news tickering one more day of threat, one more day of terror, one more day when the Market may halt, business may not move on. I threw the remote, bathed, dressed up & moved on the same street. But a moment I silently rejoiced - when I traveled in the same bogie, catching the same red bus, having same count of crowd but indifferently I found in every eye declaring in one voice in a rare display of unity saying You can’t stop me. And that I will still go ahead and lead a normal day. Terrorism...balls to you!
I swiped in my office, with all my colleagues we paid two minutes homage to all the victims, Hemant Karkare, Ashok Kamte & all those who fought bravely. In that silence even I heard the same message aloud & clear to the world.
I think its You & me who forms a We.. & that WE is converging to I .. & “I” I call as Bombay.. I am Bombay.
And once again I smashed the same fitting reply to terrorism..”Do what you want – Nothing gonna stop me”

A hundred killed & hundred maimed for life in a dastardly act of terror. I want, who reads me, to light a candle here to say them, no worries yet we are left who will stand rock still till the end.

Inspiration....could be like fuel to any machine, could be like T.N.T for your mind.. driving force of any life ,its enough for me start again. Yes, my mind has started babbling.
